The ZAP™ Airborne Pad is designed to be worn in conjunction with standard ZAP™ sets (7-Pad NSN and SOF configurations). It is placed at the nape of the helmet during airborne operations to provide additional impact protection to the vulnerable nape area of the skull by reducing peak G’s experienced during high-speed impacts. The ZAP™ Airborne Pad weighs less than 3/4 of an ounce.
